It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you at Knowledge Resource Centre web page of the Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University. The Maharashtra Public University Act 2016 implemented since 1st March 2017. The act renamed nomenclature of the University Library to ‘Knowledge Resource Centre’ and the designation of Librarian to the ‘Director’. The act also introduced new structure of Knowledge resource committee. The Knowledge Resource Centre is the nucleus of the teaching and learning process. The document collection of the Centre is rich in quality. The user occupies central position in the functioning of the centre. The Knowledge Resource Centre is housed in independent specious two storied eagle shaped building. The building is located at the centre surrounded by the campus schools. The centre has received grant of Rs. 17.56 Lakh for digitization of thesis from UGC through INFLIBNET. This has helped university to upload its intellectual assets on Shodhganga for the use of researchers at large. The Knowledge Resource Centre started its WEBOPAC by which everyone can search documents available in KRC from any place around the globe. Member users may know the status of their account through WEBOPAC. The KRC has also started SMS & E-mail service to the users. The Knowledge Resource Centre offers its services to the registered members as well as any knowledge seeker through casual membership which includes senior citizens. A separate section made available for the specially abled persons. The centre aims to provide its services to support in achieving the highest standards in teaching, learning, research and extension activities. The repository also has the ability to capture, index, store, disseminate and preserve digital materials created in the Centre. Staff members can register themselves with the digital repository and submit their pre-prints (pre-refereed version of an article), post-prints (post-refereed final version) and publisher PDFs (if allowed by the publisher). The papers publish in CALIBER and PLANNER proceedings have been uploaded in to the IR @ INFLIBNET in PDF format. The Institutional Repository also includes Course Materials, Newspaper Clippings, etc.
Besides receiving access to e-resources on complementary basis under the UGC-INFONET Digital Library Consortium, the Centre maintains a separate Archival Library consisting of print journals received as a part of the agreement with the participating publishers of the UGC-INFONET Digital Library Consortium. Under the agreement, the publishers are requested to submit a copy of all the issues of the journals.
